7 Small Things to Make Your Website Better.

Posted under Business Intelligence by admin on Sunday 31 May 2009 at 2:09 pm

You may have read or heard about Seth Godin’s Great Book – Small is the New BIG. Well this article ISNT about that! But you should buy and read the book anyway :-)

What it’s about is this.

The Small things on your Website – that can make a BIG difference.

Like these 7 Things. …..

  1. Make Sure Someone is Home. Put Your Telephone Number and Contact Details on Every page of your Website.
  2. Put On a Real Face. Personalise Your website by showing a photo/ pic of someone real who customers/ visitors can relate to.
  3. Keep Your Home Clean. Dont Clutter Your Home Page too much. It’s confusing for vistors. Rather concentrate on 3-5 key things.
  4. Cross-Pollinate Your Pages! Include relevant text-links to cross pollinate your pages.
  5. Picture It. Pics DO Tell a Thousand words. Too much text without pics is just plain overwhelming. And boring.
  6. Titles Do Matter. Make sure Your Pages ALL have different and relevant Page Titles.
  7. Keep it Simple – Stupid KISS. Always err on the side of Simplicity. Less IS More. Provide less info – and an option for a visitor to request more information. (Also known as Layered Information Delivery)

And most important of all…….. Have a clear ‘Call to Action’ for visitors. Dont make them guess what they need to do next… tell them!

  • “Contact Us to Discuss in Person”
  • “Download a Free Copy of this Guide”
  • “Join our Newsletter”
  • “Keep Up-to-Date by Following us on Twitter”
  • “Call us Now on 027 713 5913 – to discuss ANY queries/ questions you may have”
  • “Can’t Find What You’re Looking For? Contact us”
  • “Buy Now”

…. You get the idea. These are the “Money Phrases” The payload you WANT people to get to.

Make it Easy for them to do so. And dont make them ’small’ and hidden away in hard to find places. Make them BIG and obvious.

To Your Success on the Web

Article Marketing Tips

Posted under Business Intelligence by admin on Sunday 31 May 2009 at 2:09 pm

Many new comers to article marketing do not quite understand all the details. Then they find out how the basic concept is so simple. You get traffic by submitting articles. While this is the basic formula, it is often much harder. backlinks is a great way to get traffic and help in the search engines but it needs help.  Google, Yahoo, and MSN all look to the top article directories as authorities but using other methods to boost your article and make your article and site jump up the search engines.

Determining the best method to use is very important. You must ensure that you have an intriguing title.Your keyword should be in the article at least once every 100 words. It is important to find the right median when using the keyword. You cannot risk make the article illegible by overusing the keyword

First submit your written article to Ezine. After submission rewrite the article and submit it somewhere else to get traffic.Submit your article to GoArticle and ArticleBase after this.-People have differing opinions on whether to rewrite these articles. I receive little traffic but they give good authority in the search engines..

After all this you can use social network sites to boost traffic.

The trick to reach as many people as possible is to create a variety of articles. Now, assuming your targeted niche is article marketing. People would be interested in topics like how to write an article, how to come up with attractive article titles, what is the right format and ideal word count, how and where to distribute the articles, how to submit to hundreds of article directories within the shortest time and etc.

data entry work at home

Posted under Business Intelligence by admin on Sunday 31 May 2009 at 2:36 am

data entry at home

Data entry home jobs surely don’t offer the best of perspectives if we take a look at them from a realistic point of view. The problem is that more than 90% of the data entry home opportunities we can find online hide scams. Even if some readers may consider these arguments exaggerations, we are talking about facts. Data entry home activities do exist, but they are pretty scarce, conducted locally and not that well paid. Therefore, don’t believe all the empty promises for hundreds of dollars with so little work required. This kind of great ‘opportunities’ equals money waste.

Data entry programs are a first trap to avoid online, particularly since most of them want to sell you a package for the initiation in the secrets of data entry. The problem is that in the almost desperate and rather irrational quest for an easy money-making chance, people make very bad decisions. This situation is a daily occurrence and lots of Internet users do not take warnings seriously believing that it cannot happen to them. On the other hand, it is only fair to stress out the fact that skepticism is very healthy, and that presently, there are web pages that consider it their duty to warn people and expose scammers.

Internet surfers have the opportunity to join extensive job search communities and enjoy site membership. Thanks to such capabilities, one receives job alerts via email on a regular basis, and this means that the scam risks are next to zero for some data entry home jobs. Free online services in the category most often require active support from the community members in order to last on the Internet. Thus, let people know whether and how you’ve been scammed, share info on reliable sites providing data entry home jobs or simply stay informed.

All in all, let us count the factors that enable one to expand great data entry home activities. First of all, you need a computer with permanent online connection, an email account and some typing skills. Moreover, knowledge on the way the Internet functions is essential. Most of the time, data entry work will be about forms filling in company databases, but many people are not content with the repetitive nature of such tasks. Therefore, you should only apply for certain data entry home jobs if you have enough patience to perform the tasks.

Master the Skill of Writing For the Internt

Posted under Business Intelligence by admin on Sunday 31 May 2009 at 2:36 am

Despite the advent of multimedia everywhere, including on-line,, being an excellent writer is still a crucial skill for every Internet marketer.  Of course if money is no object you could pay someone to write for you, but that’s not the situation most of us are in.

I’m sure you know that writing a variety of artilces and reports remains one of the best ways to drive free traffic to your site.

Writing has has always been a great way to build and maintain a relationship with your audience.

I’m also sure you know just how much time you you spend regularly trying to produce the best possible reports, articles, blog entries, etc.

Since you’re putting in the time, you you really should make sure you do it as efficiently as possible, while producing the best content possible. I think I’m a pretty good writer (nobody’s ever accused me of false modesty :-) .  I’ve found that writing regularly is one of test ways to get better at it. I’ve worked at developing the skill, practiced it and as a result people often compliment me on my articles.

But writing the same way over and over won’t make you better.  That’s where having a coach or guide makes a difference.

The challenge is getting help at an affordable cost.  The are a lot of copywriting guides out there that cost hundreds even thousands of dollars.

The good news is I’ve found a great guide at an even better price.

Even though I consider myself at least an intermediate writer, I have to say I picked up a bunch of new strategies from a report I stumbled across a few weeks ago called:

“How To Improve your W.R.I.T.I.N.G”

Whenever I write, I try to express myself clearly as quickly and efficiently as possible.  This report has ratcheted up my ability to do that to a new level.  It has helped me crank out excellent reports and articles faster that ever.  That’s been great.

Even better, it helped me blast through a bad case of writer’s block.  I don’t think that will ever be a problem for me again.

The information in this report has really helped me and I’m sure it will do the same for you. Get your copy at:

How To Improve Your Writing

You, and your audience, will thank me for the recommendation.

How to Make Big Money by Finding Hidden Niche Markets

Posted under Business Intelligence by admin on Friday 29 May 2009 at 3:37 pm

Picking the right niche can make or break your Internet marketing business. Often, people trying to get into online marketing often get stuck on this step, because they really have no idea which markets are worth working on. After all, no one wants to spend months building a website that ends up with very little traffic simply because there is very little demand for the subject in question.

So, how does one go about finding hot niche markets? Some Internet marketers suggest choosing a niche that you are either enthusiastic about or are familiar with. While this may work out in the end, the more logical approach is to determine what people are actually searching for and base your Internet business around that. Determining the demand of a particular niche is the very first step.

One way to do this is to use some free tools, such as the free Wordtracker keyword tool (http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com). Type in a search phrase and Wordtracker will return the amount of daily searches for up to one hundred related terms. You want to choose a phrase that has a decent number of daily searches – any number ten or more is worth considering. You may notice that the fewer number of words in a particular search phrase, the more searches it usually gets. As you can probably guess, search phrases that have more words get less traffic, but are by and large easier to rank for.

Next, go to Google (http://www.google.com) and type one of the search terms in quotes. In the upper right hand part of the search results screen, you’ll see the number of pages indexed by Google that are exact matches for your search term. Generally, when you are just starting out, try to focus on terms that have 20,000 or fewer competing pages when using exact match. Anything higher than this will require some heavy duty SEO to rank well.

Once you find that a particular subject that has decent search volume and relatively low competition, it’s time to go over to the Google Adwords Tool (https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal) to see if there is any money in the market. Type in your term and see if there are many advertisers bidding for your search term. If there are a bunch of advertisers, it probably means that there is indeed money to be made in your market. If there are no advertisers, the search term you’ve chosen may not be commercial in nature, and thus may be difficult to monetize.

You’ve now got a handle on a niche that has decent search volume, low competition, and monetization potential. As soon as you find out how to find profitable niches like these, you will be well on your way to raking in some big cash online with niche marketing.

One of the niche marketing greats is Mark Dulisse, and he has launched an amazing course named IM Niche Formula. Within a ten-month period, Mark managed to make a $10,000 per month income – all from a single website! You’ll learn exactly how this was done with IM Niche Formula. Data Entry Work

Posted under Business Intelligence by admin on Thursday 28 May 2009 at 4:14 pm

Data entry work represents a viable and even popular idea to make some extra money with just a computer, an Internet connection and a bit of skill. Yet, most people think that data entry work consists just in typing ads; there are very serious companies that need people for easy-to-do typing services, data proofreading, data entry processing, data collection and other operational services. It seems that there is only a basic training form required for such work-at-home positions, and in most cases freelancers even skip them, getting to the data entry work per se without other preparatory stages. This is also the explanation why so many data entry work offers get labeled as scams.

data entry jobs work

The fame of data entry work actually started with the intense advertising and luring promises of home based businesses: money is said to come flowing, while the data entry worker has a flexible schedule with very little efforts required. Such incredible opportunities are mere traps for the naive, are there real grounds to take such opportunities for real? It’s true that data entry work does not require any special skill, but this is also the reason why it is so difficult to turn it into a truly profitable home business.

data entry works

There are also all sorts of data entry course packages, job analyses, reviews and market studies that claim to possess the the secret to all Internet data entry opportunities. The issue is that each and every such package is fee-based: information comes pretty expensive if we think of what a trifle data entry work is considered within so many companies. The exposure of such work cases is global, meaning that you can get a business contract with someone living on the other side of the planet. From this point of view, data entry work resembles affiliate Internet marketing a lot.

data entry work

By hiring home workers for data entry tasks, companies actually save the money they’d spend on the wages of permanent employees. More complex examples of better paid data entry work paid include virtual call center agent positions, data proofreading, transcriptions, word processing and lots of others. There are some criteria that can save one from falling victim to scams. Programs that include trainings, pay back guarantees, data base updates and site membership are usually the most reliable in this business and provide really convenient data entry work.

Top Tips to Writing Effective Surveys

Posted under Business Intelligence by admin on Wednesday 27 May 2009 at 4:38 pm

How to create a survey using Survey Galaxy

Writing surveys is easy; isn’t it? The reality is that writing surveys is easy but writing surveys that will be effective is more difficult. The following are twenty tips that if followed will help you write more effective surveys.

1. What is the survey’s purpose?

Surveys and questionnaires are conducted for many reasons. By correctly phrasing the questions and structuring the answers surveys can be used in many ways and for a variety of reasons. When compiling a survey don’t lose sight of its purpose.

2. Title the survey

The survey title is a golden opportunity to instantly summarise a survey’s objective and encourage respondents to participate. Respondents need to invest time in completing the survey so encourage them that the investment they make will be worthwhile.

3. The length of the survey needs to be as short as possible

Every question that is asked should be asked for a reason. Pay attention to the ‘need to know’ questions and minimise ‘nice to know’ information.

4. Use plain English, maintain consistency and avoid terminology, acronyms and asking questions that could result in ambiguous answers

Be careful when wording the question. There is every chance that if respondents can interpret any question that is not clearly written differently to that intended by the survey’s publisher then any analysis of the survey results may be worthless or at the very least misleading.

5. Don’t have long questions

Try to use short sentences wherever possible. Long questions can cause a respondent discomfort and lead to them abandoning the survey.

6. Ask only one question at a time

Avoid confusing the respondent with a question like ‘Do you like golf and football?’

7. Avoid influencing the answer

Avoid loading the question. ‘Should irresponsible shop keepers who sell tobacco to minors be prosecuted?’ is likely to have no value.

8. Make sure that the chosen answer format allows the respondent to answer the question being asked

Ensure that the respondent can answer how they really feel or they may be inclined to abandon the survey. As a last resort consider the benefit of including a “No comment”, “Can’t say”, “Don’t know” or similar response option.

9. While you are compiling your survey consider how the compiled data is going be analysed when the survey is complete

If a question is asked that allows a free text open ended response appreciate that such information is likely to be difficult to score and/or summarised. Consider how the answers could be grouped. For example “Indicate your length of service?” – ‘less than 2 year’, ‘between 2 and 5 years’ and ‘more than 5′.

10. Ensure that the questionnaire flows

When asking questions group the questions into clear categories as this makes the task of completing the survey easier for the participants.

11. Target your respondents

Sometimes you will want to target a specific group, in others a cross section. If you can’t easily control the respondents consider including questions/answers that will allow you to filter out respondents that don’t match your target profile.

12. Allow respondents to expand on their answers and/or make comments

Allowing the respondent to make additional comments will increase their satisfaction level and will also give valuable feedback on the specific questions and/or the survey as a whole. Keep in mind though that for a large sample collection it may be difficult to analyze free text open ended responses.

13. If the survey you are conducting is to be confidential ensure that your pledge is upheld

If you have guaranteed the respondents that the survey is confidential ensure that the individual data is not to be shared with anyone and the information is not going to be used for any other purpose. Confidentiality must be maintained at all times and any contact information destroyed after the survey is complete.

14. Weigh up the benefits and disadvantages of allowing respondents to be anonymous or identifiable

If your respondents are to be anonymous then you will be unable to follow up or match “pre” or “post” surveys. Allowing people to remain anonymous can however have advantages for example it would allow people to respond without possible peer pressure.

15. Consideration carefully the best response format

Being consistent with the format used for responses is good practice. When designing your survey keep in mind that when analyzing the data single selection radio buttons are easier to analyze than multiple selection check boxes. Do not use a check box format if a radio response format would do.

16. Inform the respondent as to the approximate time it will take to complete the survey

If the survey appears to be a stream of never ending questions then respondent drop out can become a problem. It is good practice to give an indication as to how long the survey is likely to take so that the participants can choose the best time to complete the survey.

17. Advise the respondents of the survey end date

Encourage respondents to complete the survey as soon as possible but advise respondents as to the survey’s end date so that they have the opportunity to schedule the necessary time.

18. Pilot the survey

Before publishing a live survey publish a small pilot survey to check for questions that are ambiguous or confusing and to ensure that the survey is aesthetically pleasing.

19. Before publishing the survey proof read the survey several times

Check more than once that the survey is grammatically correct and makes sense. If possible get someone else to proof read the survey before you publish, if no one else is available then take a break before checking again.

20. Thank the respondents

To complete surveys respondents need to invest their time and should be thanked either in a covering letter, at the end of completing the survey or in a follow up letter. You may even want to consider incentives such as entry into a prize draw or a reward.
