All your application can perform perfectly on an average POS computer but don’t forget that some POS software requires newer versions of OS and regular updates. Now, if you baught your components separately with different resellers, you must have to coordinate with them and always keep in contact just in case any compatibility problems accurs.

First, check if it has the features that your business needs, its compatibility with your computer components and never forget to check if the price is reasonable. These are just some of the very important things you need to know before ordering a POS software.

Most software packages offer similar functionality. With a restaurant POS software, you can easily create checks, place special orders, generate waiting list, move diners from the bar to a table and even track orders per server. You may want to have additional features for handling more customers or simply for convenience.

Using Internet data boards: A POS computer component that takes a snapshot of the day’s business which can be accessed from anywhere as long as you have a web connection. With this, you can easily download files from other branches from any location you are in, and have total peace of mind knowing that your other branches are doing fine.

Multimanagement: This genius multimanagement POS software allows the sharing of data and allocation across multiple branches.

Program for frequent diners: This useful POS software lets you assign points for each meal or item, allowing diners to accumulate points which they can later exchange for free dessert, discount or gift certificate. By this, you can help boost your sales as well as your low-performing items or meals.

For a growing restaurant, you may want to consider adding more POS terminal to enhance your business performance and increase your sales. You’ll find it easy to add or change POS systems, install new software and replace old computer components. What’s important is you must know first the type of restaurant POS equipment or software your business needs before heading on to the nearest POS vendor serving your area.

Further more, there are free competitive bids given by national POS experts where you can freely choose which POS vendors you want to purchase a POS system. By simply requesting for a FREE POS system quote in a national POS network, you can receive up to five price lists on all types of restaurant POS equipment you need.

Is The New World Order Agenda Linked to the Illuminati?

Posted under News and Society by admin on Wednesday 30 September 2009 at 9:10 pm

At the heart of practically every conspiracy theory which involves the New World Order, there is the shadowy group known only as the Illuminati. Today, there is no one group that claims this title, so it is assumed that everything they do is done in secret, therefore impossible to know the identity of any of it’s members. However, certain international think tanks such as the Council on Foreign Relations, the Bilderberg Group, and the Trilateral Commission are often seen as branch organizations of the group. This article will cover a brief history of the group and a few of the plans they have in store for the world’s population.

In 1776, a Bavarian Jesuit Adam Weishaupt created the original Illuminati organization which consisted of major freethinkers of the Enlightenment era. The group had very close ties with another secret society, namely the Freemasons. During their time they were accused of planning to overthrow the government and some believe they were even involved with bringing about the French Revolution. Their organization was deeply at odds with the Catholic Church which condemned them wholeheartedly. Their short lived group was eventually banned in 1784 when Karl Theodor, the ruler of Bavaria, made all secret societies illegal.

There are many conspiracy theorists today which believe that the Illuminati survived, most likely by hiding itself in the Freemasons. Proponents of these theories believe that major world events are being caused or exploited by this group with the end goal of creating a New World Order. This plan entails a one world, government, currency, religion, and language in many cases. These ideals will be shared with the public as a good thing and a final solution to all the wars, famine, bigotry, and other problems in the world, but the true plan involves a small ruling elite with complete control over large number of serfs.

Some of the better known proponents of these conspiracy theories include radio host Alex Jones, author David Icke, and political activist Mark Dice. While each of these persons expresses belief in the New World Order and the secret societies that are out to bring it about, they all have fundamental differences when it comes to the details. Major world figures who these theorists claim to be in the Illuminati include Winston Churchill, David Rockefeller and Zbigniew Brzezinski, among many others. Likewise, there are many different groups accused with being affiliated with the group besides the Freemasons including Skull and Bones, The Bohemian Society, and the Ordo Templi Orientis.

If you are interested in learning more about this and other secret societies who are planning to bring the entire world under the iron fist of a global fascist regime, be sure to visit www.theantichristidentity.com. They have compiled what may be the most comprehensive report involving the NWO plan and the major political figures who have a role to play in its inception including Barack Obama, Prince Charles of Wales, and Javier Solana of the European Union. The report pays special attention to Bible prophecy and the identity of the antichrist that is prophesied to be the head of the New World Order.

Discover the Excitement of Off Highway Vehicle Adventures on your Idaho Vacation at St. Anthony Sand Dunes

Posted under Travel and Leisure by admin on Wednesday 30 September 2009 at 9:10 pm

Idaho attraction

Are you thrill seeker that is always searching for a new place to go on your Idaho vacation with excitement and yet great thrills?  If so you may want to visit the St. Anthony Sand Dunes and take your off highway vehicle and discover the adventure provided by this huge playground.  There are over ten thousand acres of sand dunes which rise above four hundred feet for you to test your fears on.

If you aren’t an off road vehicle rider there are still fun times available whether it is by climbing or horseback riding along the sand dunes.  There are 15 continuous miles of open sand for you to appreciate.

White Sands in New Mexico isn’t the only place with the beautiful white quartz sand.  Saint Anthony Sand Dunes is another one where the sand grows 8 feet every season.

There are campgrounds for you to stay at but be ready for some primitive camping at some of them.  They are unimproved with out door toilets – although there are a few that are modern service for those that don’t wish to experience the extreme.  Recreational vehicles are also permitted and there is a unpaved parking area for use with hook ups, even a store of sorts to get you those items that you forgot to pack.

Discover the adventures of Choke Cherry where you will probably have to come up the back side since the front is too steep for most vehicles.  Then on to Devil’s Dune and Dead Horse Bowl along with a exciting variety of other locations that you will discover as you ride the locale.  Do not just visit at the “main” dunes, explore the less used, and enjoy the area that is ideal for your desires.

Thunder Mountain is the place everyone races so if you are into sport racing this is the place to be.  You probably will want to race to the top and then ride back down because the other side is very steep and not appropriate to racing.

The area is under the control of the Bureau of Land Management. There are rules, like a 5 mph speed limit in the park that must be followed so you don’t risk the other campers.  If you abuse this you will be required to leave, and you should be!!

The dunes are located just fifty miles northwest of Idaho Falls, near Saint Anthony in the beautiful Eastern area of Idaho, one of the most popular Idaho attractions.  Come and visit and come again and again, you are more than welcome.

Take the following scenario as an example. You’re planning to participate in a partnership with an individual or individuals that you do not know all that well. You have to find all the available details about the individual or individuals with whom you are thinking of going into the partnership prior to making a deal as there are many sharpies out in the business sector. It is possible to do personal background checks from the convenience of your own home.

A contract with a felonious business collaborator may leave your business in danger and be a major threat to your hard garnered money. You better have a reliable data source containing the correct types of info so that you can research the entire history of the person along with his or her criminal history, or anything else that you need to check into. This helps you to check how honest the person is and whether you ought to or not get into the contract with him.

It may also come about that you may be looking for info on a friend from your past that’s not in touch with you any longer. You just want to email him an invitation for a small social occassion or maybe an engagement party. It will be a tormenting experience if you’re going to have to search all over for the contact information or if you have to call a lot of other acquaintances to collect info about just this one old friend. You need to do a people search by name .

You want to have an information source that you can interrogate and find all the information you want from your PC. Such a database with thousands upon thousands of public records has been created by Government-Records. Whilst the database contains data that is accessible to members of the populace, it needs to be gathered from many sources across the nation. Many small databases must be searched and the info aggregated into one database that can be conveniently searched. As you can think this is a gigantic job. Such a service can’t be supplied for free and there will thus be a cost associated with it. The costs associated with Search Records are really very low if you consider the effort required to collect the Information and keep it updated. Evaluating a Point of Sale System Hardware Before Purchasing

Posted under Business Intelligence by admin on Wednesday 30 September 2009 at 9:09 pm

The typicall POS systems you may see on restaurants and fast food chains are touch screen monitors, programmable keyboards, or scanners and handheld devices. Cash registers can be baught with or without a built-in cash drawer, printers can be dot matrix or thermal, programmable keyboards can have covers for spill protection and scanners can be a CCD scanner or an autosending laser scanner.

Touch screen technology: With its flexible user interfaces and programming, many restaurants prefer to use touch screens. With this type of restaurant hardware, a staff can easily input orders and cancel an order within a second. It can also reduce mistypes and fasten ordering. Touch screens also uses fewer electricity and much easier to position on the counter table, but they can be more prone to breakdowns.

Handheld devices: Restaurant PDAs are handheld devices, commonly wireless, that transmits data back to its base station. You can also use the newer version, which is the write-on handhelds that allows you to write detail such as the orders and directly sends the oder to the kitchen! This type of device perfectly fit when up-selling customers of desserts or drinks. Your employee can either roam their tables or take orders from customers waiting in line.

POS keyboards: Most grocery stores prefer to use this type of POS systems, since they can program individual keys for specific item codes and prices. A standard keyboard consists of 101-key, which can be seen with any computer. Others are small and flat, which are common in fast food chains. POS keyboards often has a built-in magnetic stripe readers for processing credit cards.

Scanners: This restaurant hardware reads bar codes and converts it before inputting it’s information to a POS system computer. Generally, it fastens a sales transaction and accurately inputs product or service payment of a customer. Scanners can be connected through Y-connectors (or wedges) which makes them function as an extension of your keyboard.

Volume of customers: When it comes to serving different volumes of customers, using this restaruant hardware can be very useful. If your counter line holds several customers, your staff can easily use a CCD scanner or entry-level laser scanner. If the line is loaded with customers, then autosensing laser scanners would be better. This type of scanner turns on when an item is placed in front of it, scans its code, and then turn off again. But if the counter line is overflowing with customers, an omnidirectional scanner would be the right scanner to use, where it scans a bar code from any angle with its 15 or 20 lasers simultaneously!

Consider Additional Restaurant

Cash drawers: Used to store cash, checks, gift certificates and other important papers. When buying a cash drawer, look for a sturdy construction of at least 18-gauge steel, don’t just buy one because your local POS vendor tells you that it’s the best or simply because it looks fancy. Go for the most reliable cash drawer since the usable life of cash drawers are measured, you also have to make surer that you can replace rollers, bearings, and other parts. Most cash drawers opens only when a signal from the printer is released.

Point of Sale printers: An addition to your restaurant POS system is a receipt printer, every retail business needs one to complete a sales transaction. POS printers are used to print receipts of customers and creating credit card slips. There are two types of POS printers, the dot matrix printer and the thermal printer. The dot matrix printer uses ribbons and regular paper to print. On the other hand, Thermal printers are slighly expensive than the dot matrix printers because they are more realiable, they have less moving parts, faster and quieter when printing.

Customer displays:
A customer display or pole display lets your customers know the price of the item they’re purchasing and some support advertising. You also have to make sure that your customer display has the right height and width to perfectly fit in to your counter table, as well as it’s compatibility with your POS software.

Check readers: If you don’t have one, I suggest getting one now. This device helps you be preventing check fraud by verifying essential account information, saving you tons of profit.

Magnetic stripe readers: A simple piece of restaurant hardware that is used to read credit cards. For added convenience, look for POS keyboards and touch screens that has a built-in magnetic strip reader, so you don’t have to buy a separate one.

Fingerprint ID readers: Mostly this type of hardware is used for employee login. But it is very helpful to limit which staff can access a POS terminal and prevent other staff from logging in inplace of somebody.

Keep in mind, when purchasing for POS systems, hardware or software, make sure to know the item first before heading to your local supplier. No matter how much money you spend on your POS equipment, always consider the environment where you’re going to use it. Regular cleaning can help keep your POS terminal in good shape, vacuuming dust and lubing your receipt printer can extend its usable life and maintaining an over all clean workstation can definitely help your POS terminal from dust and spills. You can always request for a FREE POS system quote online where local suppliers will offer you competitive price lists of any restaurant hardware and software you need based on the the information you give them. So you would never have to waste money buying the wrong POS systems.

Solar Power: Advantages and Disadvantages

Posted under News and Society by admin on Wednesday 30 September 2009 at 9:09 pm

It seems like people everywhere are talking about solar energy, from advocacy groups to the media to the Obama administration. Why all this interest in solar energy? While it is the many advantages that excite so many people, there are also some disadvantages. Overcoming the disadvantages can be accomplished if you have some knowledge and are willing to put in a little work yourself.

Advantages

Infinite energy source

The sun produces solar energy so there is an infinite supply. Every day, all year the sun is producing energy. While fossil fuels like natural gas and oil will eventually run out, solar power will continue to be available until the sun disappears and at that point we’ll have a lot bigger problems to be worried about than how to power our air conditioners. As more and more of these limited fossil fuels are used up, the price will continue to rise The opposite is true of solar power! As technology continues to get better, the cost of producing solar energy will get lower and lower.

Free energy

Power from the sun will continue to be free as long as the sun is shining. There is an initial cost for solar panels and equipment, but there is no ongoing cost for solar electricity aside from maintaining of the equipment and battery replacement if batteries are used. You can completely disconnect from the electric company if you install enough solar panels. This is called off grid living. Some people intentionally stay connected to the power grid, are able to generate more power than they use and actually get paid for the extra electricity by the power company!

No greenhouse gasses

For people who are concerned about global warming, solar energy is the answer! While fossil fuels produce greenhouse gasses, solar electricity produces none whatsoever. If you wish to lower your carbon footprint, solar electricity is a great way to do it. Solar power doesn’t generate any CO2 of emissions of any type.

Reduce dependence on foreign oil

One of the biggest threats to national security is widely considered to be dependence on foreign oil. Dependence on foreign oil is considered by many people to be one of the biggest threats to national security today. Our dependence on foreign oil can be reduced by the use of solar power. Solar electricity produced in this country would directly replace energy that is now produced using foreign oil.

Disadvantages

Initial cost

The biggest disadvantage to solar energy is generally considered to be initial cost. The initial cost of solar panels can be quite high, while the ongoing costs of solar electricity are very small. You can figure out how much it would cost to install enough solar panels to power your home and download a spreadsheet to do the calculations by visiting Cost of Solar Panels.

With a good set of plans, a few common tools and enough time, the initial cost can be reduced significantly by building your own solar panels. For instructions on how to build your own solar panel, visit Do It Yourself Solar Panel.

Necessary space

Solar panels must have a clear view of the southern sky and need sufficient space. Solar panels work best in areas that get a lot of sun. There are solar maps available that show the average sun in different areas. A larger score means that a solar panel of the same size will produce more electricity than a solar panel in an area with a smaller score. If you live in an area with a lower score, it doesn’t necessarily indicate that you can’t use solar electricity, however you will need more solar panels to generate enough electricity for your house.

As you can see, there are advantages and disadvantages to solar energy. The advantages far outweigh the disadvantages, I think you’d agree. Builiding your own solar panel is one way to avoid many of the disadvantages. For the best guide to building a diy solar panel, take a look at Review of GreenDIYEnergy.

What is A Restaurant POS System?

Posted under Business Intelligence by admin on Wednesday 30 September 2009 at 9:09 pm

A Restaurant POS System (or Point of Service System) could be any restaurant POS equipment, hardware and software combined like an electronic cash register, that is used to process a transaction. A restaurant has many factors which makes the whole business function effectively. A restaurant Point of Sale terminal is used to accelerate a sales transaction as well as your customers payment. Any location within a retail establishment where transaction occurs is referred to as the Point of Sale.

In a restaurant, there are lots of moving parts that’s involved for it’s performance. Having a restaurant POS Software can greatly help in managing staff attendance and performance, the inventory system, accounting and customers’ transaction information, helps any retail business owner improve his business’ performance. How? A restaurant POS software has powerful features that can ensure the safety of your profit, and better employee and customer management.

Increase Profit With Customer Satisfaction

Customer satisfaction is a very important factor for retail business owners, by meeting your customers’ expectations on your products or services, you’ll get a higher chance of customer return. The more customer returns you get, the higher your profit is! So you have to make sure your employees are accurately giving orders, provide assistance to customers and make an overall good performance all the time. By using a POS software you can decrease 50% on ordering time and increase ordering accuracy.

Because the goal of increasing profit, many retail POS vendors have developed new systems that can produce excellent results like the POS systems that enables you to integrate your accounting software such as QuickBooks and Peachtree. With a POS software like these, you can rest assured that all your financial data will be up to date, accurate and can even print sales report on any POS terminal just with the touch of a button!

Inventory management is a difficult job. Manual handling and updating of your inventory sure is a lot of hassle, it’s both time consuming and costly. By installing a POS software that can help accelerate inventory management, you will see and increase in efficiency with its advance management tools, you can input any information with the items as well, such as purchase date or date of expiry, you will never have to back to manual system ever again.

When it comes to proper ordering. Placing an order should have the right timing, ordering too late can cause you to run out of an available item, and ordering too soon risks an item going bad. Installing automated inventory management enables you to increase the efficiency of your products orders, set a special alert to notify you and your employees when you’re about to run out of products and the ones that needs immediate re-ordering, as well as setting notifications when items are nearing their expiration dates. So if your restaurant still doesn’t have POS software for inventory management the time is now to do so.

Good Restaurant POS Solutions Fights Leakage

Decrease shrinkage up to 10% by having a good restaurant POS solution to back back up your business. And since all data is digitally recorded, you can have a full report on who processed a transaction and if the transaction made is accurate. By this, you can also ensure an easier way to investigate profit loss.

The information I gave you is just the beginning of what a restaurant point of sale system is and the importance of having a POS software for your business. I suggest getting advice and online support before purchasing any POS terminal, since it can really cost you a lot if you buy the wrong point of sale system. You can also check retail systems verdons online and request for a free POS system quote before buying one from your local supplier. By this, you can get competitive price lists and avoid buying expensive restaurant POS equipment that doesn’t work for your business.

Is Outsourcing That Important for a Company?

Posted under Business Intelligence by admin on Wednesday 30 September 2009 at 9:09 pm

Outsourcing is really popular and controversial at the moment. More companies are outsourcing every single month but some of them do not actually know what they are getting themselves into. Unfortunately Outsourced IT is not that well understood. What does outsourcing mean?

When one company will hire another company to do any job we are talking about outsourcing. This includes a vast array of possible jobs. The third party person might be an individual or even an employee of another company. In most situations the job is done and money is paid for it. A lot of times we see people that think outsourcing is basically a process that sees a big manufacturer that opens a branch in another country. At the moment the IT outsourcing industry is constantly growing and there is no sign that this will stop in the future.
We have two main types of outsourcing: domestic outsourcing and overseas outsourcing. The first category is linked with the provider and the employer to both be located in exactly the same country. Overseas outsourcing refers to the vendor being located in another country. Contrary to what some people think, outsourcing can be done by hiring a local company too and not just one from another nation.

The main reason why people outsource is the fact that there are a lot of advantages to doing it. Everything is based on the industry that the company that desires to outsource works in. The two most common advantages that people are thinking of include experience gains through outsourcing IT management and cost cuts. Cost cuts are obtained through working with companies that will do the required job for a cheaper price tag. You can also gain experience due to special infrastructure builds. An outsourcing provider always needs to have everything up to date so that competition is possible. Your projects will have a lot to gain from hiring a company that does prove to have experience.

Through outsourcing you will gain a lot of money if you do it right. No matter what others are saying, it will continue growing in the following years. Unfortunately for some companies they do not have another solution except always staying competitive through outsourcing. If your competition is outsourcing IT then you might be faced with problems on the long run.
