The World’s Fuel Crisis
The world is gradually marching toward a severe energy crisis, due to an ever-growing demand for energy that oversteps its supply. We know that the energy we consume daily is limited, yet we take it for granted. Oil, gas, power, even water has a limited supply. However, we are not taking sufficient action to help head off an impending energy crisis. When I say ‘we’, I am not only referring to the governments but to everyone, the common people.
The Diminishing Energy Resources : The Energy Crises Affects Us All, Here’s What You Can Do!
Gas and oil have become costly, and every day these resources move closer to becoming exhausted. There are some misinformed individuals who don’t believe in the energy crisis. They fail to see the big picture. So far we’ve had three major energy crises: the 1973 oil crisis, the 1979 energy crisis, and the 1990 oil price hike, not to mention the many regional crises.
Over the past several years, prices have continued to rise, due to the ever-growing demand for and depletion of our energy sources.
How soon will it all be gone? Are the cynics right when they say we are exaggerating the facts, or is the energy crisis a real problem? Picture this: We have already used up 50 percent of the available oil. At the present rate of consumption, the remainder of the oil will finish in 32 years! Imagine if the rate of consumption were to increase! We all know it is bound to increase. So it’s possible that even the present generation could face a serious energy crisis.
The Alternative Is Solar Energy: There Are Things That You Can Do right Now AND Save Yourself Money!
What can be done?
Are we prepared to handle the impending energy crisis? What can you and I do to help prevent it? Well, to begin with, we need to recognize and appreciate the importance of our energy resources and not take them for granted. We have to decrease the use of our gas, oil and other fuel. People cannot afford to waste any available energy. We need to expand awareness concerning our limited energy resources. Simple actions like joining (or starting!) a carpool, turning off your car at stop lights, and generally reducing the use of gas and oil in everyday activities can all help with the energy crisis.
What are the alternative energy options?
Solar energy and wind energy are two great alternative sources of energy that a caring and responsible world citizen can implement. Employing these alternate power solutions is extremely feasible and cost-effective. You will not only lower your power costs but also contribute to a healthier future for the earth.
